On Saturday 27th June Osgoldcross and Elmet Rotary Club welcomed 6 members of the Borken and the Landgraff clubs with their wives to the tri- annual exchange meeting, this year organised by the Yorkshire club.
The group started the day at Pontefract castle for a very interesting guided tour before going on to the Hepworth Gallery at Wakefield where a very nice buffet meal was had. The group had a guided tour which again was of interest.
A stop off for some at the Cross Keys in Ledsham introduced them to atypical country pub before retiring to get ready for the evening meeting and meal at
Selby Golf club. A lovely meal was followed by the formal handover of the Presidency of the club from Pam Smith to new president Richard Bennett.
Sunday morning saw the group visit the archaeological dig guided by Ray Newton the project manager who gave an interesting insight into some of the history of Monk Fryston and the Hall before having an excellent buffet and saying our good- byes till next June when we will meet up at Landgraff.
